Yes Izzy
When my flate mate Rory said we were going to Wellington to watch the All Blacks play South Africa I knew the surf was going to be good that weekend!! But, like always, he convinced me it was a good idea.
Sure enough, the surf turned up on the Saturday and the boys let me know about it.
I had only one thing that could make it worth while. Izzy organised the tickets for us, so if he scored it was worth it. And score he did. Check it out below. I lost my voice around this time. One of the best tries in a while. Only guy to lay a hand on him was Richie McCaw in celebration! Well deserved you FEG!!

R.I.P. Moko
Moko the Dolphin, is he really dead??
I’ve been up in Mount Maunganui surfing for the last couple of days. When I first got out to the Island yesterday, we found a dead dolphin on the beach. It wasn’t a pretty sight. Smelly and decaying, it had been there a while.
As we surfed for the next 5 hours I used the dolphin to line up where I was surfing and actually jokingly said to a couple of the boys in the water,
“I’m just gunna surf down here on Moko’s peak”
Unfortunately, today it has been confirmed that it is Moko and although they will do DNA tests and an autopsy to determine if it is him and the cause of death.
I felt so bad about the day before and the stupid joke I made as he was a part of many areas on the East Coast for so long including Gisborne. And you actually did surf and swim with Moko, whether you liked it or not!!
I am sorry pal, I hope you rest in peace. Everyone has a piece of Moko in their hearts, and I’m sure he’ll live on a lot longer with all of us!

Sri Lankan Airlines Pro
So I’m sitting in my hotel in Kuala Lumpur waiting on a shuttle to take me to the airport. After flying to and staying overnight in Colombo we will shuttle down to Arugam Bay for the 2010 Sri Lankan Airlines Pro. I am hoping for a good result to get moving on the tour this year.
